Remedies for Menopause Insomnia

Menopause insomnia is a very challenging, but also very common symptom amongst women approaching or going through the menopause.  It can be debilitating and also exacerbate other symptoms of menopause.  There can also be a number of causes and it can be difficult to attribute menopause insomnia to one or two particular causes.

Dealing with menopause anxiety attacks has been one of the most challenging menopause symptoms I’ve faced since my mid-40s.  I consider myself very lucky, having never suffered with depression or feelings of anxiety prior to the beginning of this period of my life.  However, when these attacks started appearing, I didn’t understand what was happening and began looking all around my life for the triggers.

Thinning Hair Remedies for Women

The first time I noticed that my hair was thinning, I was standing in my hallway gazing into my mirror.  The light shone down from above, and I suddenly noticed what looked like a patch of really thin hair right where my parting met my forehead.  I stood there for ages, parting my hair from one side to another, trying to see if one side was worse than the other, but to be honest, it all looked the same.

I just seemed to be able to see far more of my scalp than I was used to seeing.

I didn’t mention it to anyone, and wondered if anyone in my family had noticed.  But if they had noticed, no one said anything.

But, suddenly I felt self conscious.  I’ve always had really thick hair, prone to curling, but since the advent of GHD hair straighteners, I’d loved my longer, straighter hair.  But now, instead of feeling like my hair was one of my best features, it had become the centre of my focus for a much different reason.Continue Reading
